Colon's Historic Win in Nuñez

With a disappointing loss to Colon de Santa Fe, River have had the dagger deepened to the wound of the club. With the recent rejection of Ramon “Pelado” Diaz’s decision to be the new coach of the Millonarios, this bitter loss to Colon struck every River fan.
Colon’s win was the first win by the club in the Monumental, a feat that many are yet to conquer. To top it all off, the opposing team’s coach is none other than Leo “Negro” Astrada, the beloved idol from the 80s and 90s. River played a match that left them wondering where they stood for most of the match, and the 15,000 fans that went to support River did not help motivate the team.
Before I go on, I want to mention that this is the most depressing River squad that I have seen in a LONG time. With losses to teams that never stood a chance before, this squad looks heartless and without energy. We, the fans, do not deserve to be treated this way. Although some of us live out of Argentina, we follow the team via the internet, TV, and radio. I find it insulting to hear other people from different nationalities talk bad about my beloved River. Especially bandwagon fans who support Boca.
I’m glad that the “hinchada” is taking flags with messages on them. We need all the support we can get to change this situation. We must not let this great club be the laughing stock of many. Additionally, I’m glad that many fans are staging themselves in front of the main offices to protest the current situation. This shows that many care for the best team in the world. Last night, I saw the final show dedicated to Enzo Francescoli by TyC Sports. In the show, I was able to see all of his accomplishments with Rive and how it changed his life. Those were excellent times, and I could not believe that it had been 10 years since River won something internationally. We hade Crespo, Sorin, Ortgea, Burgos, Francescoli, Salas, Gallardo, and many more one one squad! I noticed one thing from that squad that this current squad doesn’t have, and that is BALLS.
Our next game is with Olimpo of Bahia Blanca, a team that has not proven itself worthy of being in the First Division. But in reality, is River currently worthy? You decide.
