Julian receives another great recognition

River’s former forward ranked seventh among the world’s best players in 2022.

At FIFA's 'The Best' awards ceremony, which took place on Monday, February 27th, the Argentine people had many reasons to celebrate: Lionel Messi won the award for world’s best player, Lionel Scaloni won the award for best coach, and Emiliano Martínez was chosen as the best goalkeeper. Furthermore, Argentine football fans were also recognized.

River's source of pride was Julián Álvarez, who ranked seventh on the list led by Messi. The scorer had a spectacular 2022, which started off in River and culminated in Qatar’s World Cup, as he was one of the key figures of Argentina’s national team’s rise to the top of the world.
