For some time, LPM RIVERPLATE.COM has been looking forward to reaching out to all the English speaking fans around the world and finally, here it is!

Before I go on, I would like to introduce myself since I'll be the posting in this blog section. My name is Carlos AKA millocumbiero and I'm 26 years old. I was born in Newark, NJ and was raised in Elizabeth all of my life. I have been following River since I was baby, with my father taking me to my first game in 1980. If you do the math, it wouldn't make sense that I was in the presence of a game if I wasn't even born yet! Well, my mother and father, along with family, went to see River Plate play against the New York cosmos. I was in my mother's womb at the time, so I "heard" the game. I have pictures of Daniel Passarella as a player, relaxing in the sideline. Good times!

Throughout my life, I have been to many football games, but the best one was in 2000 when I saw River Plate against Rangers from Scotland. It was a really good match, not only because we won but because we were able to cheer on River with Celtic fans. Imagine a whole section of red, white, and green! Little to say, they had a decent time with the "Barra".
